"As time progressed, everything became better, and the ambience of the class helped me because ma'am used to give small breaks during the lectures, and that really helped me to gather myself. Ma'am was very kind, generous, and approachable. I hesitated initially, but ma'am helped me with her approach, which was really kind of her. She created a space where we all felt heard and valued. This course was way more than its slides and lectures. This course was really insightful because it was not conventional. It was a space of healing, self-discovery, and I absolutely feel privileged to do this course under ma'am."
"The class is all that amazing, I think it's amazing that the professor knows everyone's names. Normally, there are 2/3 students who are known by professors in each course, but in this course of public health, my professor knows everyone's name and call us in the time of our class. Then I recall the time of school, where teachers also known the names of all students. It was so interesting for me, really. It was so interesting for me."
"At first I thought that I will not feel interested, but gradually my basic knowledge developed. I really enjoyed the teaching method in this course. It was really different and interesting than other courses. I learnt from here that we can also gain knowledge through fun activities. Like we always think that studying is a tough task to do, but if we learn something through unique techniques and enjoy that, then we can learn something very easily and smoothly. These lessons will also remain permanently in our brains. I learnt a different method of learning. This was definitely new for me, and I felt interested. Interactions are a very important matter in the case of learning, and this was present in this course perfectly."
"And most importantly, my faculty of this course is very friendly and cooperative. During office hours, I talked about any confusion I had. She used to explain very simple and easy way. One time, I talked about how depressed I was about my life. She cheered me up and told me never to give up. During the group meeting about the presentation once I told ma'am that I was very nervous to give my presentation. She told me not to worry about it and to give my best in my presentation, which helped me a lot to boost my confidence."
"The faculty truly stood out in this course. They were not only knowledgeable and passionate but also incredibly student-friendly and kind. One moment I’ll never forget was when I thought the class started at 9:40 AM instead of 8:00 AM. I showed up just five minutes before it ended, completely confused and embarrassed. But instead of being upset, ma’am was so kind— she smiled, welcomed me in, and didn’t make a big deal out of it. That moment made me feel comfortable and supported, and it really set the tone for the rest of the course."
"This Pbh101 course was fun because of its unique course outline. I have never come across an outline quite like this one. This was not the only thing that intrigued me. I liked how the entire course was not based on boring quizzes and midterms. The students had a lot of scope to interact and present themselves. I personally believe, being able to present oneself properly is a great skill."
"I have to say you are well prepared, and every slide is on point and informative. Before the pandemic, I didn't know how to handle the situation, but now I have learned how to deal with those things. Now I am going to be a social worker, where I am going to help my society with the learning material you gave us."
"She was the only faculty I have come across in my 3 years in NSU who would individually check in on each student at the start of each class. It really helped connect better with the class, and overall, she was definitely one of the nicest and most helpful teachers. Thank You, Miss."
"One thing I learned, which surprised me, was speaking in front of class. In this course, we had to do little group tasks and discuss it in class. So I think that kind of made me open up a little bit more. I really appreciate how she tried to break the ice in the classroom. I think it was fun and creative. I liked how everyone got creative."
"What made the journey even better was the classroom experience. I interacted with our instructor throughout the semester, and it was honestly such a refreshing experience. She was patient, kind, and approachable, something not all instructors manage effortlessly. I always felt like I could ask questions or just have a thoughtful conversation without judgment, and that gave me the confidence to engage more."
